On July 7, in Uralsk, on the occasion of National Dombra Day, a branch of the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of History and Local Lore opened under the name “Dombra - the national spirit!”

The museum is located in a two-story building with a semi-basement. The museum's new exhibition is located on the ground floor of the building. The halls present the history of dombra, halls dedicated to Kurmangazy Sagyrbaev and the Kurmangazy orchestra, as well as halls of dombra players of the Western region.

Our team made a significant contribution to the implementation of the project. The building was completely renovated, display cases were made for exhibits and mannequins, and an interactive panel was installed that provides information about the history of the kui.

One of the most interesting exhibits is a model of the most ancient dombra! Dombra was created based on information found on the Internet. The original of this exhibit is kept in the National Museum of Mongolia, and we are proud to have been able to recreate it for our museum!
